About This Service

The Caliper Is the Most
Visible Brake Component.

Through the open spokes of a luxury alloy wheel, the brake caliper is the first mechanical component visible to anyone looking at the vehicle. Factory calipers are almost universally finished in a flat, utilitarian grey or black that recedes into the background — functional, but entirely unremarkable. A painted caliper in a specified colour transforms the visual reading of the entire wheel arch, adding depth, contrast, and a level of personalisation that is immediately visible from a distance.

The challenge that most caliper paint jobs fail to address is temperature. Brake calipers operate at temperatures that standard automotive paint cannot survive — sustained use can push disc temperatures above 400°C, with heat transferring directly to the caliper body through the mounting points and fluid. Standard aerosol caliper paint and standard automotive paint fail on calipers within weeks of normal driving — cracking, peeling, and flaking as the paint cycles through extreme heat and cooling repeatedly.

At Kartal Auto, we use only high-temperature automotive caliper paint rated for a minimum of 600°C continuous operation — applied correctly, with proper surface preparation and oven-curing after application. The result is a caliper paint finish that lasts years, not weeks.

What We Do

Car Caliper Painting Services
We Offer in Dubai

From a single-colour solid finish to a custom two-tone caliper with branded lettering — every caliper painting service available for luxury and exotic vehicles at our Dubai workshop.

1. Single-Colour Caliper Paint

All four calipers painted in a single specified colour using high-temperature caliper paint rated for 600°C continuous operation. Gloss red, gloss black, satin black, yellow, white, gold, blue, or any custom colour. Wheels removed, calipers prepared and masked, painted, and oven-cured before wheels are refitted. The most requested caliper service in Dubai — clean, consistent, dramatic contrast through open-spoke wheels.

2. Two-Tone Caliper Finish

Two contrasting colours applied to different zones of the caliper body — typically the main caliper body in one colour with the bridge or ear sections in a contrasting colour, or a body colour with contrasting caliper piston covers. Achieved with precision masking between applications. Popular on performance vehicles where the visual detail visible through a multi-spoke wheel is significant.

3. Caliper Lettering & Branding

Brand name or custom text applied to the caliper face — in a contrasting colour to the caliper body. "BREMBO", "AMG", "M", "LAMBORGHINI", or any custom text. Applied using precision masking and hand-cut stencils sized to the specific caliper dimensions. The most common caliper upgrade in Dubai's luxury vehicle market — a detail that is clearly visible through large-diameter open-spoke wheels at a standstill and in motion.

4. Caliper Ceramic Coating

A ceramic coating applied over painted calipers — or directly to bare metal calipers — significantly hardening the surface against brake dust etching, stone chip damage, and corrosion. Ceramic-coated calipers are dramatically easier to clean: brake dust that would embed into unprotected paint within days sits on the surface and rinses off with a hose.

5. Gloss or Satin Black Calipers

Gloss or satin black caliper finish — the subtlest and most versatile caliper colour choice. Gloss black calipers contrast sharply against silver, bronze, or gold wheel finishes and create a visual depth through the wheel that the original grey cannot achieve. Satin black produces a more understated, premium look popular on Rolls Royce, Bentley, and Range Rover.

6. Gold & Custom Colour Calipers

Champagne gold, dark bronze, carbon grey, blue, green, orange, or any custom colour matched from a RAL code, Pantone reference, or physical colour chip. Body colour-matched calipers — where the caliper is painted to match the vehicle body colour — produce a subtle, cohesive look popular on monochromatic black or white vehicles. All custom colours are available in the correct high-temperature formulation.

7. Caliper Repaint & Restoration

Existing caliper paint that has faded, chipped, or peeled fully stripped back to bare metal, prepared correctly, and resprayed to a fresh factory-standard finish. Old caliper paint that is left peeling traps moisture beneath it, accelerating corrosion of the caliper aluminium or iron body. Proper strip-and-repaint is the correct approach — painting over failing paint produces a result that fails again within months.

8. Combo: Calipers + Rims + Brakes

The most economical way to do all three wheel-related services at once — caliper painting, rim painting, and brake pad replacement in a single wheel-off visit. The wheel removal and refitting labour is shared across all three services. Wheels come off once, all work is completed, and everything goes back on together. See our combo packages below for full pricing details.

Painting System Guide

Caliper Paint Systems:
What Each One Is & When to Use It

Not all caliper paint is the same. The correct system depends on how the vehicle is driven, the caliper material, and the desired finish. Here is a complete guide to every system we offer.

Best For

High-Temp Caliper Paint

600°C continuous operation. The correct specification for all road-driven vehicles in Dubai regardless of driving style.

3–5 years on a road-driven luxury vehicle in Dubai with normal use. Resistant to brake dust etching, stone chips, and normal thermal cycling.

All luxury and exotic vehicles driven on public roads in Dubai. The correct choice for Rolls Royce, Bentley, Range Rover, Mercedes, BMW, and Lamborghini Urus.

High-Temp Caliper Paint + Ceramic Coating

600°C paint base + ceramic topcoat. Ceramic layer adds surface hardness over the paint — not additional thermal resistance.

5+ years. Ceramic coating hardens the surface against brake dust etching and stone chips. Brake dust washes off with water rather than embedding into the paint surface.

Vehicles driven in heavy Dubai traffic where brake dust accumulation is constant. Anyone who wants to keep painted calipers looking clean with minimal effort. Recommended for daily-driven luxury vehicles.

2K Epoxy Caliper Paint

300–400°C. Lower temp ceiling than standard high-temp but harder surface than single-part paints. Not suitable for track use.

Excellent surface hardness and gloss retention for road use. The hardest surface of any non-ceramic caliper paint system — produces the deepest gloss finish. 4–6 years on road-driven vehicles.

Luxury vehicles that are exclusively road-driven at normal speeds and never subjected to hard braking or track use. Where the priority is the deepest, hardest gloss finish rather than maximum thermal resistance.

Powder Coat

400–500°C depending on powder specification. High-temp powder coat available for performance applications.

Extremely durable — powder coat is applied as a dry powder and fused into a continuous film. Hardest surface of any caliper finish. Chip-resistant and abrasion-resistant. 7–10 years typical.

When calipers are removed from the vehicle for a full brake overhaul or restoration and powder coating equipment is being used. Requires caliper removal — not achievable with caliper on vehicle.

Standard Aerosol Paint

Typically 250°C maximum. Insufficient for any vehicle driven at normal road speeds in Dubai. Fails on the first significant braking event.

Weeks to a few months before cracking, peeling, and flaking begin. A false economy — the job needs to be redone within the first service interval.

Not suitable for any application. We list it here for completeness — we do not use standard aerosol caliper paint on any vehicle. Every caliper job at Kartal Auto uses 600°C-rated paint as the minimum specification.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Caliper Painting Process

Every caliper paint job at Kartal Auto follows the same eight-step process. Surface preparation is where most caliper paint jobs fail — we never skip it.

Why Choose Us?

Why Dubai's Luxury Car Owners Choose Us for Caliper Painting?

There is no cheaper option available at our workshop because there is no point in offering one.

Oven-Cured on Every Job

High-temperature caliper paint that is air-dried rather than oven-cured remains partially uncured — significantly softer and more susceptible to peeling.

Custom Caliper Colours

We are not limited to a standard range. Any colour from a RAL code, Pantone reference, or a physical sample can be mixed in the correct high-temperature formulation.

One Visit for Calipers, Rims, and Brakes

The wheel removal labour is the same whether we are doing one service or three. Booking calipers, rims, and brake pads together at one visit produces the best value of any combination of these services.

Masking Protects Brake Components

Overspray on brake pads reduces their friction coefficient — a safety issue, not just a cosmetic one. We mask every brake component with precision before any paint is applied.

Our Packages

Caliper Painting Cost in Dubai

Caliper painting, rim painting, and brake pad replacement all require the wheels to be removed. Booking them together means the removal and refitting labour is shared — significantly reducing the combined cost versus booking each service separately.

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about caliper painting in Dubai. Have a specific question about your vehicle, colour, or combo package? Message us directly.

1. How much does a car caliper painting cost in Dubai?

A single caliper starts from AED 150. A full set of four calipers in a single colour starts from AED 500. A two-tone finish set starts from AED 700. Caliper lettering is AED 200 for a set. Ceramic coating over painted calipers is AED 200 for a set. A caliper and rim painting combo starts from AED 1,500. The full wheel package (calipers, rims, and brake pads) starts from AED 2,200. Contact us for an exact quote on your specific vehicle and colour.

2. How long does car caliper painting take?

A standard single-colour set of four calipers is completed in 1 day — including wheel removal, preparation, primer, colour coat, oven cure, and refit. Two-tone finishes or lettering jobs take 1 to 2 days as the masking must be adjusted between colour applications and each colour requires its own flash and cure cycle. If combined with rim painting, the turnaround is 2 to 3 days as the rims require their own full preparation and cure cycle. We confirm the timeline when you book.

3. Can you add lettering to calipers?

Yes. Caliper lettering — brand name, model name, or custom text — is one of our most popular caliper upgrades in Dubai. The text is applied using precision-cut stencils sized to the specific caliper dimensions, ensuring the lettering is proportioned correctly for each caliper face. Common requests include "BREMBO", "AMG", "M", "LAMBORGHINI", "FERRARI", and custom text. The lettering is applied in a contrasting colour to the caliper body and is included in the painting process — both colours are oven-cured together.

4. Does caliper painting affect braking performance?

No — provided the paint is applied correctly. The caliper body is a structural housing and carrier — the paint on its outer surfaces has no effect on braking performance. The critical requirement is that no paint reaches the brake pad friction material, the disc surface, or the caliper piston sealing faces. We fully mask all brake components before any paint is applied and inspect all surfaces after de-masking before refitting the wheels. Overspray on brake pads is a safety issue — we treat masking as a safety step, not just a cosmetic one.

5. Should I combine caliper painting with rim painting?
Yes — and for two good reasons. First, the visual result: painted calipers viewed through unpainted factory rims look incomplete — the caliper colour draws the eye into the wheel arch and the dull factory rim becomes the most visible element by contrast. Painted rims and painted calipers in a coordinated colour scheme produce a far stronger visual result than either alone. Second, the cost: both services require the wheels off. Doing them together means the removal and refit labour is shared, reducing the combined cost compared to booking them separately. Our caliper and rim combo starts from AED 1,500 for a full set.
